Hello,
I wanted to take a moment to update you on how I’m doing with tge scrub gesture
I posted about a while back. I went to a Voiceover workshop at the Apple Store
this evening. I brought this up with the instructor. He tried it on my phone
several times before finally getting it to work, but it was hit or miss. He
said there is a known issue with the scrub not working consistently and
recommended I report the bug to Apple which I will do very soon. He also said
that I may have a display issue since my phone doesn’t always respond to my
gestures. He said to not move my fingers so far to the right and to do it more
quickly, but I will have to go back to have the display tesed. Depending on the
results, they may have to give me a new phone. To further determine if it is my
phone, they had me do the gesture on one of their phones and it worked fine. He
said my gesture technique is very good. Only thing I need to work on is using
the pad of my finger rather than the tip. The trainer I had said not to
separate my fingers but don’t pinch them together either. I’ll update everyone
once I go back to the store to have my phone checked, but that’s where we stand
right now.
Kind Regards,
