Hi, Robin.
Yes, after doing some reading on membership benefits I did see a reference to
being able to purchase additional books at a 30% discount. I'm not certain if
that applies to any book or just to specific books but it's still a nice perk.
That service is really calling to me and I will likely purchase a membership.
However, I'm going to see if Amazon offers any Prime day discounts before I do
it.

Hi David and all,
I have the same plan as Kimberly does and for me it’s worth the cost. I
believe that having a membership no matter which one also gets you other titles
at a slight discounted rate even if you’re not using credits. but if this has
changed or if I’m incorrect I’m sure someone will shed more light. I believe
when a member if you’re out of credits you can also purchase them in blocks of
3 which also gets you savings on titles that might other wise be more expensive.
Take good care.

David,
I have been an audible subscriber for many years at the slightly higher level
of 19.95 per month. This level allows me to purchase two books regardless of
the cost at the listed price. Most titles list for at least 20 dollars so the
subscription is a good deal: I have gotten several titles under my subscription
that listed for 35 or even more.
Having said that, these days many commercially available titles are coming to
the NLS program, so if you're willing to wait and see then free is always
better even than cheap. But since I am a voracious reader whose patience is not
long, audible works really well.
I hope this helps.

Hi. I have found several books from Audible that I'm considering purchasing.
I've done some research on the benefits of membership, which I gather is around
$14.95 per month. However, if I only buy one book a month and the books cost
less than the price of a monthly membership I'm trying to figure out if paying
for the membership is worth it. I gather that one of the benefits of membership
is that you can return a book you might not like and substitute it for another.
I'm also assuming that monthly membership allows you to purchase one book which
costs more than $14.95? I'd be interested in hearing any feedback from those of
you who are subscribed to Audible.
