Hi, David;
Is formatting automatically saved somewhere when a disc containing that info is
put into the c-d rom drive? Otherwise, I don't recall it asking me to save it
anywhere. I'll try your suggestion and see if that disc's contents was saved
somewhere in that my computer, on one of its drives. Thanks for your
suggestion. I'll try it and get back to you. Take care.
Lillian

Lillian,
Do you know which format the video file has been saved to?
You could try opening up Computer or My Computer. Point to the CD drive
containing the files and press shift+f10 to bring up the context menu for that
drive. Next, arrow down to open and press enter. This should provide a list of
the files contained on that drive. Arrow through them and press enter on the
one you want to play. Does that method work?

Hi, Folks;
Hoping you're all having a wonderful Independence Day. I thought I'd
spend my day listening to a video disk I bought. However, after
inserting it into my computer's c-d rom, I expected it would play.
It's not doing that. I thought maybe I put it in wrong. I turned it
over and pressed enter to start the disc playing. No sound came forth.
Next, I tried using Windows Media Player. It played some sample of something
I didn't want or know I had.
Frustrated, I went to my computer area, then tried music. Nothing happened.
Then I tried videos. Still nothing happened. Finally, I tried opening
the RW c-d rom. It opened, told me I could select audio or video. I
tried hitting enter on both, one at a time, of course. Still no sound is
forth coming.
What on earth am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for anyone who can
help me. I'm trying to play it on my Windows 8.1 computer. I
considered trying it on my Windows ten lap top but still learning how to
navigate using that one.
I thought familiarity with the older computer was the sensible,
logical way to go. If I'm having so much difficulty with this one, how
much more difficult would it be on my new one? Anyway, my afternoon's
shot but will be glad for anyone to help me with this problem so I can
enjoy my discs in future. Thanks again for your assistance. Take care.
