Hi,
Awesome I'm glad. Since things are shipping from Canada it isn't always the fastest or cheapest if expedited but I've had decent experiences with them.

Thanks Robin,

I found exactly what I wanted at the braille superstore.

www.independentliving.com
Independent Living Aids
or maybe the braille super store

I believe the latter also sells labels that are slightly bigger that one could put in a regular slate not a single line one affording you the use of perhaps more contraction use and more information which could fit on the labeling surface.
I hope that helps.

David,

You are tremendously helpful and I am not aiming this at you, but this product makes me laugh, and not in a fun hahaha way. $750 to make labels? Really? This feels like it comes right out of the bad old days of tech aimed at the blind market. How many blind people can reasonably afford that kind of money to create labels? I have a good job with a good salary and I couldn't justify that kind of expense for a labeler.

Now that my little rant is done, I am actually looking for an easy labeling solution. I recall from years ago a sort of "label gun" that embossed braille on dymo tape. I haven't seen one in years, but I think something like that may be what I'm looking for to label spice jars and containers before I stick them in the freezer. Do you know if anything like the label gun is still available and where I might get one?

I have one of those single line slates, but it is just too slow and cumbersome to do quick labeling in the kitchen.

Thanks,
Kimberly

Recently, Coolblindtech highlighted a device from LoganTech called the 6Dot
Label Maker. It allows you to type Braille labels using a six-dot Braille
keyboard. This unit is rather pricey at $749.00 but I wanted to pass on the
link, for those who were interested.
