Over population, in regards to the resources needed to sustain Human
Life, is a major factor in population shifts, and in subsequent wars.
This includes clean water, breathable air, fertile soil, along with
such resources used for consumption and for profit, such as oil, coal,
forests, and all of the precious metals. Most Human activity in the
past has focused on expansion as the primary method of controlling
Land and its Resources. What I mean is that we Humans have no long
range plan for controlling growth, or for preserving our Earth's
resources. In fact, we Humans can be compared to the ravishes of a
Cancer in the Human body. Cancer and Humans continue to consume and
expand as if there were no tomorrow.
In the USA alone, there has been a population explosion. Just in my
lifetime look at the numbers. 1935: 127 million(est)
1940, 132 million
1954, 163 million (the year I graduated from high school)
1968, 200 million(est)
2016, 325 million(est)
In my lifetime we have more than doubled our population.
So, in about 50 years we've added 117 million to our population. Has
the population of life in our oceans matched the rising numbers of
mouths? As we cover the flatlands with cities and factories, where
are we developing new farms?
While we are recklessly gobbling up all around us, little puffed up
Tyrants strut about rattling their Nucs and demanding obedience to
their way of life. And like Dodo birds, we dumbly follow along. I am
ashamed of my fellow Americans when I see them chanting "Make America
Great Again", and blindly following their little tin god to the Brink
of Eternal Darkness.
In the history of Planet Earth, ours has been a wild, but short ride.
Good luck to anything that comes after we've destroyed our way of life.

discovered called, "The Dig". Yesterday's episode was a fascinating
discussion about Immigration, its history in the past 25 years, and how the
borders have been, and are being handled. There is an interview with an
author, Paul Andreas, who wrote a book about the subject that he updated in
2009 and which is still relevant today. I don't remember the name of the
book. He has a new one, a memoir called Rebel Mother. Apparently his mother
escaped from Chile after the coup with which the US was involved.
