I'm recommending this book, especially for Bob Hachey, because until I began
reading it, I never truly understood the implications of what people like my
former computer guru, Carlos, and Ted, and other computer people talked
about when they emphasized that we should be getting stuff free of charge. I
didn't understand that libertarian ethos that underlies all of this, nor did
I realize the effects on fil makers, musicians, and other artists. Learning
the truth about Amazon, and Google is, to say the least, disturbing, but the
history of all of it is fascinating too.
