Look at whom he chose for Secretary of State, the head of an oil company. He
chose industry people in other cases, to head the government agencies that
would ordinarily be regulating the industries that they head. One of the
complaints that I read is that the people he's appointing aren't seasoned
politicians and therefore, don't know how to follow the usual rules about
providing information to congress. It's as if there's a dance they're
expected to perform and they're refusing. Usually, there's an appearance of
due process. This time, there's no pretense about the lack of democratic
procedures. No camouflage to hide behind.

Subject: [blind-democracy] Re: The Real Meaning of Trump
As I have said, bourgeois politicians are normally the equivalent of hired
hands. That is, they are hired by the ruling class to administer their state
apparatus. This case is a bit different though. For a change it is a member
of the ruling class who has decided to try his hand at administering. The
ruling class is factionalized, but this factionalism is usually kept hidden
and is only reflected in the squabbling the bourgeois politicians do. Trump
has made that factionalism more visible.
In large part he is a faction of one even if he leans toward one or another
ruling class faction on numerous specifics. I think it is likely that his
one person faction might have had something to do with his deciding to
insert himself into the administration of the state in the first place. That
is, he wants to get his own way. Other members of the ruling class have
reacted with horror toward him. The bourgeois electoral system has finally
betrayed them. It has not betrayed them in the semse that it has put another
class in power, but it has betrayed them in the sense that it has given an
important position in state administration to one of their own who is in
frequent opposition to the rest of them. I don't care to make
prognostications, but if this rift grows when Trump takes office it just
could provide significant openings for the working class to take advantage.
But, no, this is not the typical situation of a bourgeois politician doing
the bidding of the ruling class.

He's not a normal person. Perhaps they'll accommodate if he has enough
power behind him, but this is not a normal situation. Additionally,
although there are power elites who have tremendous influence, there
are also differences among our Presidents and among the people who are
in each of their administrations. The complexities are hidden when you
talk as if that formula in which the Left believes so fervently, the
formula which says that there's really no difference who wins the
presidency because the ruling class will rule anyway. The ruling class
isn't monolithic. There's a difference between the Koch brothers and
George Soros. We can all see only bits and pieces of the puzzle.

Well Bob, I agree that Donald Trump is not my president, but probably
not with as much fervor as you.
Because I believe that Donald Trump is the candidate of choice by the
Oligarchy, and all those who made the final cut in the Presidential
Race were representing the needs of the Oligarchy, including Bernie
Sanders, then I was bound to be outraged regardless of the winner.
Even Bernie Sanders, who came closest to fighting for the Working
Class, had dirty hands and a few skeletons in his attic closet.
Bernie did throw a good scare into the Establishment, and they had to
resort to dirty tricks to freeze him out.
Trump, despite the railing of the Media and many old line Republican
politicians, is a man the Empire can work with. In part, it is
because regardless of his claims otherwise, Trump is a long time
member in good standing with the Ruling Class.
Just look at the coverage he received during the "Race". There's an
old adage that goes, "There's no such thing as bad publicity". And
Trump proved it beyond a doubt. Some folks voted for him because they
were sick of being trick or treated by the Obama administration, some
voted for him because they really believed all the promises, and some
voted for him because they were drawn to this Bad Boy Mouthy, shoot
from the hip, bigger than life Media Creation.
But to the Oligarchy, it doesn't matter why folks voted for Trump.
With the appointments he is sending forward, it will be open season on
the treasury and the Working Class.
No, Donald Trump isn't my president, either. But he is president of
the USA Corporate Empire, and as such, we will need to suffer under
his time in office.

Yesterday, Donna saw this on FaceBook, a most apt description of Trump:
T, Trashy
R, Racist
U, Unqualified
M, Misogynist
P, pig.
I always try to give the winner of presidential elections at least a
small chance to govern, but based upon his appointments, tweets and
other sordid actions, he deserves no chance at all.

Hey there, Donald! You are not my fuckin president!
