I think that given the power of the Democratic party establishment, Bernie
has done what he could. It is difficult to oppose the party completely if
one wants to remain part of it, and it is particularly difficult when one
has to contend with the Republicans who are not only unprincipled, but have
more money that their disposal than the Democratic Party. That is why there
are people like Chris Hedges who believe that if change takes place, it must
be from outside the traditional party structure that we have. We are all
trapped in a very complex system and each of us makes our individual choice
as to how to deal with that fact.

As far as I am concerned, the Democratic party is being run by the
neocons. People kept trying to tell us that Bernie was pulling Hilary
toward the left. It looks to me that Hilary is shredding Bernie to pieces.
Once again, I am disappointed about this stuff. I thought Bernie was
willing to stand up for what he believes. It looks like this isn't the
case. All the changes he wants to make are being thrown under the bus.
Hilary is very unprincipled. She said anything people wanted to hear. I
wouldn't be surprised if she was willing to revive the Tar Sands pipe line.
