Richard, it is probably due to the highly opinionated nature of this group.
There are other blind people who seem to have no opinions when it comes to
political or social issues or have no awareness. I don't know what the
composition of other groups are that you participate in but this may help
you come up with some answers or engage in further dialogue. I know what it
is like to present differing opinions and I have learned not to take things
personally. I also don't have a high expectation of changing anyone's mind
either.

It seems to me that I have a 'different' outlook on things when I
compare the opinions I hear from our Blind Contributors and the other
non-blind group with which I associate either by written material or
sometimes by verbal material. I do not know if they accept my
'preparations'. However I do know that they seem to be less troubled by
my meanderings.

From the standpoint of a person who has vision but has worked with a blind
group for about 20 years I comment as follows:
(1) It is very difficult to prepare a comment for this group or any group of
blind people.
(2) No matter how narrowly defined or not narrowly defined it will
'antagonize or irritate' one or more of the contributors.

opinion, that there had been a goodly bit of armed confrontation
between the so called Western World and the so called Eastern World
and it would appear that it is continuing on in this day and age. It
does not mean that one group is better than or worse than the other.
It might indicate that the wars fought did not settle anything on a
permanent bases and it my perhaps indicate the western world and the
eastern world did not learn anything from the armed conflicts noted.
