Concerning your reply to Miriam. While I appreciate your thoughts and
your posts as conversation starters, it may well be that you are
expecting something in response that many of the folks on Blind
Democracy are not prepared to give you.
Currently I am on two lists, both blindness related. Although this
list is really stretching that description.
But over the years I've been in and out of several others. Some I
found to be dealing with topics of little interest to me. Some were
very angry by my Agnostic beliefs, and shouted me off their lists.
Some I joined for particular information, and when I'd been satisfied
I left.
But Blind Democracy provides me with articles and thoughts not easily
found in other places. Not without a lot of digging. Posts by
Miriam, Sylvie, Roger and so many others, challenge the Mainstream
propaganda, and challenge my brain.
But then, I think of myself as a Free Thinking Radical. A political
non conformist. So this sort of material and the discussions that it
generates are right up my alley.
Frankly Dick, I hope to be reading your thoughts when you reach 100.
But if the fit isn't right, then only you can do something about it.

opinion, that there had been a goodly bit of armed confrontation
between the so called Western World and the so called Eastern World
and it would appear that it is continuing on in this day and age. It
does not mean that one group is better than or worse than the other.
It might indicate that the wars fought did not settle anything on a
permanent bases and it my perhaps indicate the western world and the
eastern world did not learn anything from the armed conflicts noted.
