SILC FOIA Procedure:
SILC will designate a Freedom of Information Officer to assist the public with
requests for official records of the SILC. It is the responsibility of this
officer to follow the Michigan Freedom of Information Act regarding time frames
of the request, reasons for denial and any necessary costs.
Requests for SILC records pursuant to the Freedom of Information act must
designate the record(s) with reasonable specificity.
SILC staff will maintain a written record of the date of all FOIA requests, the
date they were completed and if they were not completed the reasons why.
Charges:
When minimum search time is required, there will be no charge for production of
a requested document.
When extensive search time is required to provide the documents, charges are
based upon the cost of lowed compensated employee.
SILC may require partial payment in advance. If such advance payment is
required, the time allowed for response stops running until the requestor
responds.
Regarding the following: "request any documents, receipts, contracts, etc.
concerning any payments of any MSILC funds for anything whatsoever, during the
past two fiscal years to the present, to The Disability Network Michigan, or
any agent therein, including, but not limited to Ms. Sarah Gravetti, Ceo of
DNM,, Amy Maes, or again any agent thereof.
I’m also requesting any record of any reimbursements for travel, lodging, and
events paid for with MSILC funds to Ms. Gravetti for any purpose or function..”
Per SILC Policy and MCL 15.234 SILC Reserves the right to request partial
payment in advance for the extensive search based upon the salary of the lowest
paid employee. Estimated time to complete this search request is six hours and
cost will be $132.36 Upon receipt of $66.18 SILC will process the request
within 7 business days.

Dear Mr. Craig,
I am writing you today to request any documents, receipts, contracts, etc.
concerning any payments of any MSILC funds for anything whatsoever, during the
past two fiscal years to the present, to The Disability Network Michigan, or
any agent therein, including, but not limited to Ms. Sarah Gravetti, Ceo of
DNM,, Amy Maes, or again any agent thereof.
I’m also requesting any record of any reimbursements for travel, lodging, and
events paid for with MSILC funds to Ms. Gravetti for any purpose or function.
As, a legally blind individual I’m requesting any such documents in
accessible format, a timely manner, and without surcharge pursuant to
obligations under Title II of the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act
of 1973. To wit: send them as either/or plain text attachments and/or plain
text enclosures to my e-mail address listed above.
In addition I’m requesting records related to any payments from MSILC
accounts to MARO for any purpose, but not limited to membership fees, Recon
convention registration, etc. by MSILC during the past two fiscal years.
