SILC FOIA Procedure:
SILC will designate a Freedom of Information Officer to assist the public with
requests for official records of the SILC. It is the responsibility of this
officer to follow the Michigan Freedom of Information Act regarding time frames
of the request, reasons for denial and any necessary costs.
Requests for SILC records pursuant to the Freedom of Information act must
designate the record(s) with reasonable specificity.
SILC staff will maintain a written record of the date of all FOIA requests, the
date they were completed and if they were not completed the reasons why.
Charges:
When minimum search time is required, there will be no charge for production of
a requested document.
When extensive search time is required to provide the documents, charges are
based upon the cost of lowed compensated employee.
SILC may require partial payment in advance. If such advance payment is
required, the time allowed for response stops running until the requestor
responds.
SILC did not distribute any materials during the ADA Celebration, therefore
SILC is not in possession of the requested documents.

As you all know and it is in the public record MSILC sponsored and also was
an active participant in putting on the "ADA Celebration" on September 17,
2015. It had a tent which many of us couldn't get to, etc.
Now I am writing today to get a list of each and every MSILC member and
employee who attended the event as well as precisely what they did on that day,
assigned duties, etc.
Moreover, I am requesting any and all information about the MSILC that was
used that day and referenced at several meetings. That should include, but is
not limited to brochures, business cards, and so on and so forth. Oh, yes it
should also include any information relative to the Americans with Disabilities
Act itself dispense by the MSILC. After all wasn't that what the event was all
about-you know our seminal civil rights law?
Oh, and send me each and every document in Braille that was dispensed that
day, or even any that was in large print.
