Imagine being found guilty of conspiracy to advocate. That's how they
jailed Communists after WW2. Why Communists? Because they had been the most
effective at organizing labor during the FDR administration. The oponents of
the New Deal were waiting to pounce and they began after FDR died. Now think
about it. Conspiracy means planning and advocacy means organizing. So
suddenly thinking and speaking had become a crime in our democratic USA.
