Sorry for the delay on your question.

I think this was originally a rule, but maybe it got lost. I will search through my stuff.

I think the original rule was something like if Ann plays Bill, they cannot have a rematch until each plays someone else.

Does that resolve your question?

Why not have it when a challenge is made and the game is played, but the challenger loses, he or she cannot have a rematch until he or she has played at least one subsequent game.

I apologize if this is already a rule and I failed to see it.
