Hi all,Cindy, in an actual HTML document if you miss a < or a > the program will not work right. However, I think Monica's idea of having tags that are words makes sense. That way at least is more memonic. I'm not advocating we all learn HTML, only that the tags we agree on have a similar form because it is a recognizable one.
As for why somebody's email address would be at the bottom of a document after you changed it to HTML, perhaps she put a mailto link at the bottom of her document. Maybe she wrote something like you can contact me at: akp@xxxxxxxxxxxx and the HTML creator changed that to:
<a href=mailto:akp@xxxxxxxxxxxx>my email address</a>I think that's the format, I'll have to look again. but if that was a document, you only have to go down to the code and remove it. No trouble!
