Lissi and bud, FYI, The page number information that you gave is exactly
right. Leave a blank line before and after the page number whether it
appears at the top or at the bottom of the page.

Dear Bud,

I'm glad to see you are still at work. Until someone with definite knowledge

replies to your question about formatting page numbers, I'll tell you how I

handle them and if I have it wrong, we'll learn the right way at the same
time.

When I'm validating, I leave a blank line before and after the page number
whether it's at the top or the bottom of the page. In other words, yes, I
make sure there's a blank line between the page number and the text and a
blank line between the page number and the page break.

Always with love,

Lissi
