Kay,
I don't know which scanning program you are using, but if you are using Open
Book with a JAWS screenreader, I had the same problem. Try saving the pages
after about 16 pages scanned. Also, close the JAWS program while in Open Book.
This problem seems to occur when there isn't sufficient memory to run all
programs at once. These steps will free up memory.
