What are the best scan settings for openbook? I am having problem scanning a book. It takes me about half an hour on each page because the scans come out bad. It's not the entire page, but parts of it. i have the whole thing on the scanner, so I am thinking that there are some settings that I don't have set right.

I've got to back up Carrie and others on this one. Many of the books rated fair have missing pages, paragraphs, and sentences that no volunteer could fix unless they just rescan the whole book. Many of these books were scanned with older technology or by inexperienced submitters who didn't know how to get good scans. These books weren't done by bad people. They're just badly scanned books. My first few scans were terrible, and I shudder when I read them now. If I still had access to the print books, I'd rescan them. I'll bet several submitters of fair books feel this way too.
