I never log out because then I'd have to log in again and putting
in email address and password is too easy for me to make a mistake,
especially with the password. the keys are too close together

The other option is go into book history where it will show the book is
being renewed. Personally, I like the old way, where the renew link
disappeared and the new expiration date was shown, better.

changes in My Checked Out Books, you must close the connection to
Bookshare and log in again to see the changes. They do take effect, but
they don't show up until you close and re-open the connection. This has
been happening for quite a while, and is not a problem as long as you
know what is happening.
