Hi Netta,

Sorry this has been so painful! I'm also sorry I didn't proofread my message
better.

The keystrokes to select the table are alt, followed by j, l, k, t. I
mistyped the k and l.

I also noticed that, contrary to what I thought, pressing delete doesn't
delete the table, just all the data in the table.

If you press "control x" to cut the table the table plus the data is
deleted.

I think the table-to-text conversion didn't work because you didn't actually
have the whole table selected.

Anyway, it looks like you got it figured out, and that's what counts!

Deborah

O!M!G!...Deborah;

This has been the hardest thing I had to do this millennium! So the steps
that you gave me didn't exactly work. I don't use alot of hot keys but
instead prefer to deal with the virtual ribbon; only because I want to
familiarize myself with the content within the ribbon. But never mind that,
this is what I had to do. OK...I put the cursor in the table and did the
alt, j,k,l,t to select the table. When I did that key sequence, a "box"
popped up and I selected table. (OK that step is done) but when I did the
second key sequence of alt, j,l,v...nothing happened. After trying this
about 15 times, I decided to go back and just place the cursor in the first
cell and select the text to the clipboard. I did this for all the cells and
text within them using my num. pad and window C. OK, then I pasted them
onto a new document and went back to the other document and to the top of
the table and did the alt, j,k,l,t to select the table. But just doing a
delete didn't delete the table...GEESH! So, I did had to go back and select
the table again, go to the clipboard menu and cut it to the clipboard; then
go to the new document and select the text and copy it back into the
original document.

If I didn't enjoy proofing books for BookShare...I would have QUIT! LOL

Anyway, thanks for the key sequence that at least shed light on the problem
and got me further than I was before. Side Note: I had been staring at this
document for several days now...about 4 to be exact. OK, I'm done now.

Back to the grind,
