Hi, Nancy.
We aren't allowed to submit e-books to Bookshare. We have to submit our own scanned copies. But, if you like these e-books, you can contact the authors or publishers and ask them to submit copies to Bookshare. I'm not sure of the details of how this would work but there are links you can go to on the home page that should tell you.
HTH,
Christina

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] question about submitting books

Hi everyone,
Please hear me out because I have no desire to do the wrong thing or take shortcuts which aren't allowed. As Richard Nixon used to say, "let me make this perfectly clear ..."

I'm trying to get a scanned book ready to submit. I've found the ebook for sale on the internet. My first idea was to buy the book and use it to fix any errors in my scanned book.

Then I saw some other ebooks I might buy and read. Can those ebooks be submitted or does that infringe on some copyright issue? I know there is some paperwork involved to get a publisher and/or author to submit their books to the bookshare library.
please advise,
Nancy Martin
