Is it version 18 that you are using? Or one earlier that that? They are
offering those two versions currently.
Also, are you using JAWS with the setup you have?

I use Omnipage but an earlier version from when it was still owned by Nuance.
Also I do not use it standalone because I find it cumbersome. I have it set up
for what the developers call Direct OCR. This allows the scanning process to be
controlled by Microsoft Word with the final OCR'd document dumped directly into
a formatted Word document. Setting that up takes a significant effort, but once
set up I have had very few problems in years and years of use.
But I do not know if the current 19.2 version owned by Kofax supports Direct
OCR because they want too much money for the upgrade.

Hi,
Has anyone used Omnipage 19.2?
I’m currently using Kurzweil 1000 and wonder if Omnipage 19.2 as a stand-alone
program would be worth looking into. I have used Abby Finereader as a
stand-alone but it’s tough to use.
