Since the list has so little traffic I’m going to put this out and hope it’s of
interest.
I’ve developed a collection of 5,200 internet streams and I tested them on the
BrailleSense 6. Therefore they play on the BS6, the BS 6 Mini and the Polaris
and Polaris Mini. They don’t play on the older Braillesense U2 as that machine
has an older media player that cannot handle the more modern URL’s used by many
media entities today. These also play on a PC.
The folders in this zip file contain all ten ACB streams (just in time for the
convention), all BBC broadcasts, all CBC broadcasts that are permitted outside
Canada, all NPR stations I could get streams for organized by state, all
classical streams from everywhere in the world, most jazz streams from around
the world that play serious jazz (smooth jazz and acid jazz are not included),
radio reading services, a group of LGBTQ stations, blues, bluegrass, and a
world tour of public media from 126 countries around the world. Included there
is all the stations for Radio Maria.
The classical collection (which is my greatest love) is further organized into
various countries and types of music. There is organ, opera, and early music,
for example.
If you would like this collection and know how to unzip a file, send me an
email requesting it.

Please list internet streams in your subject and, if you wouldn’t mind doing
so, a few words about your media interests just to reward me with some
satisfaction for doing all this work.
The streams in the world tour subfolder is from publicradiofan.com which
collects noncommercial broadcasting stations from around the world.
If you have one of the newer Hims notetakers as listed above, when you have
wi-fi active and click on one of these URLs, the media player will begin
playing and the braille display, in many cases, will show the name of the song
that’s playing and often the artist too.

Thanks Terry, hadn't realized how long it had been.
Part of that though is that I sometimes forget that replies default to the
sender and not to the list. So sometimes messages I meant to go to the list
actually went to the sender.

174 items? All I can say is WOW! That's incredible.
And all of them checked? That doesn't surprise me at all.

In office 365, word has dozens and dozens of grammar thingies that are checked.
I worked through this with MS accessibility support. Go into options and down
to proofing. Un-check use check grammar in the editor. Then tab past grammar to
settings and select it. You’ll find a list of 174 items that are checked.
Uncheck all of these and ok the whole thing and spell check will work but
you’ll have to be patient.
