Oh, yes, there are tons of books about blind people. I think there are
eighteen or twenty Kernel books published by the NFB, and books like To Race
The Wind (by Harold Krents, I think) and many others.
Perhaps instead we should publish fiction, short stories where blind people
play central roles, and tackle the same kinds of issues and problems sighted
folks do, perhaps with a unique perspective.
We'll need to offer something new to interest a publisher.
And those books written by Mehta. Also the one written by Peter Putnam, plus the other one written by that reporter named Fincke. There are lots of books written by blind folks.

The vision must be followed by the venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps - we must step up the stairs.

There's already one book on Bookshare with life stories of blind people: What Color is the Sun by Kenneth Jernigan (Editor) Are there any more?

Well, I have been told to write my life story more than once just because of
the wide range of experiences I have had. More than enough for one life
time.
This sounds like it could be an interesting project. I might be fun to co-author a book.

Laura,
I have thought of doing something similar. This would be a good project.
