Hi, Cindy. I'm curious about something. If you put in a word or something as
a footer to retain the numbers, that might interfere with the DAISY tags for
the page numbers. Then, we'd be solving one problem but creating another, I
think, unless I misunderstood what you meant, which is highly likely, and if
I did, I apologize in advance. Take care.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] footers: An apology and a favor

-I hate to bring up question of headers and footers
again. I know at least two of you downloaded some
books for me to check if the page numbers were there
or were missing. It seems to me someone said they were
missing, except that where I put a header word about
the chapter page the chapter was retained.

And I remember that someone--Mike? Allison? both? put
asterisks or dashes or words as headers to preserve
the page numbers but then someone else said that
wasn't necessary.

What I need to know now is if I should put a word as a
footer between my page number and the page break at
the bottom of the page, to retain those numbers. If
someone wouldn't mind downloading Cass Timberlane and
checking to see if the page numbers are still there,
you'd have in your collection a classic and would also
be able to answer my questin (smile).

Thanks in advance--or for any advice based on your
experience without downloading the book.

Cindy
