Hi Pam, Not Cindy, but I will still validate plain txt files too. Then I upload them as plain txt as well. If the scan is good Wordpad does a good joob for me if I always remember to save. I remember you saying that you didn't see the marks indicating page breaks in txt files so it could be that the Mac doesn't treat them in the same way, not sure. I just know that it has been my experience that I have better luck with them than rtf, as with rtf I tend to either be more likely to lose some pagebreaks before all is said and done or acquire extra. So if I upload books to be validated I save them in rtf since that's what the majority is most comfortable with, and txt if I'm validating them. I've noticed that my paragraphing is retained better with text files also.
