Hi Pam,
Not Cindy, but I will still validate plain txt files too.  Then I upload
them as plain txt as well.  If the scan is good Wordpad does a good joob for
me if I always remember to save.

better luck with them than rtf, as with rtf I tend to either be more likely
to lose some pagebreaks before all is said and done or acquire extra.  So if
I upload books to be validated I save them in rtf since that's what the
majority is most comfortable with, and txt if I'm validating them.  I've
noticed that my paragraphing is retained better with text files also.  But
it just comes down to personal preferences and what we feel that we can work
with the best.
