Hi Jill,

        I do as you do.  But I guess everyone doesn't.  Some may not even
know how even though it's been discussed on this list hundreds of times.

        I encourage folks who might not know how to protect chapter headings
to look in the list archives for messages pertaining to this.  It might
help.

If I am proofreading a book and find that chapter headings are not 
protected, I do this. But as a scanner I consider it my responsibility to 
see that chapter headings are protected, not depending on anyone else to do
