Hi Kari,

The proofreader is the one responsible for your missing chapter
headings. He or she didn't protect them and thus the stripper ate them! I
hate that! Frustrating, isn't it?

You can't check out your own scans for proofreading according to the
rules in the volunteer manual. That's why your books show that they are
unavailable for you to download. Other people don't see them as
unavailable.

If your scans are out for editing, someone has them and is working
on them. If you are worried that they might need more editing and that you
might not have gotten a notice about that, you can always search for their
titles on the "check out a book" page to see if they are waiting to be
worked on by a proofreader still.

        Hope that helps.

Mayrie

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] editing scan

I have a scan that needs more editing because the filter at Bookshare
deleated the contents page and chapter headings. I did check my upload
copy- my chapter headers are on my copy, and the contents page are present.
I cannot check out the book for more editing "not available for checkout"
sign prevents me. How do I edit books? Do I resend what I sent in before?

I also noticed a couple other of my scans in progress are listed as "not
available for check out" does that mean I have more editing on them?
Kari
