You are seeing, in most cases, periods. You are trying to use Braille to correct with.
As much as is possible, you should use computerized Braille to prevent such confusions.

Hi everyone!Every once in a while in the book I'm proofing, there is "dis" in all lowercase letters. It is not part of a word, because it doesn't make any sense when trying to fit it with any word.One example was a sentence something like, When I returned to the office I disfound blah blah, blah, (whatever the rest of the sentence was).
