I didn't realize that your failure of eyesight was due to cataracts. In
that case cataract surgery is very likely to make you not eligible for
Bookshare after all. But at least save your credits for after the
surgery just in case.

Thanks, Roger.. And you make a good point. We're making eye appointments for August. I don't know how far my cataracts have progressed since the last appointment; my husband has them too. But we've both noticed a deterioration in our sight. Hopefully surgery will have positive results. I know in some cases people's vision was better than ever. In For someome else i t didn't work -- her vision was than before and her eyes wee painful. So I think I'm going to take your suggestion and save my credits for if and when I need them myself

Cindy, a year's subscription is twenty credits or if it is a new
subscription it is thirty. That is fifty dollars for a year and a
twenty-five dollar registration fee. I would suggest, given the
way you have described your eyesight, you use those credits to get
yourself a subscription of your own. It really sounds like you
qualify, but you have to get a doctor or some similar service
professional to confirm that. After all the work you have done for
Bookshare if anyone deserves a free subscription it is you.

I just checked I have $67.50 available. I believe a year's
membership would cost 40 credits. If Kathy ( doesn't need or want
them ( maybe she plans and can afford to pay the $40) you can
have them -- or if someone else offers some you can have the
$27.50 that's left. btw-- do you know what info is necessary? I
asked but haven't head-- ie., I assume person's name but I don't
know what else smile

Hi cindy, thanks for your offer. Keep what you need for your
family. Perhaps someone who has more can. I probably need
enough for a full membership.

Hello booksharians, would anyone like to donate their credits
to me so I could have bookshare for another year. Because of
the flooding which occurred to our home in April due to the

sincerely and greatly appreciated. Feel free to write me off
list and let me know if there’s anything I need to do. My
