Hi Evan,

Yeah, there is some kind of an applet that one can install. I never tried it,
because I figured you're just adding another layer that is likely to further
complicate things. My current plan is to switch to a Mac, so I'm hoping to be
done with Office altogether.
Best,
Donna

I heard some time ago that you can make Word 2007 look like Word 2003. I don't
have it, so I didn't pay much attention, but something about setting it to
classic view, or classic menus or something like that. Have you investigated
this? Or is my memory playing tricks on me?

Evan

Well, one could hope MS actually grocked the fact that Office 2007 is the
biggest piece of ***** ever released, and that they might actually get rid of
those stupid rinbbons. That's probably a lot to ask for, though I have heard
very good things about Windows 2007.

I don't like the ribbons either.
Now they are coming out with office 2009 or ten.
Not sure.
I almost have 07 working like I want it.
So why bother.

No problem, Mayrie.  I?d say what I think about the ribbons, but I don?t think
I could put it in language polite enough for this list. :)
Take care,
Donna

Hi Donna,
Sorry about that.  I have no idea how to use Word 2007 at all.  All those
ribbons scare me.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] converting tables to text in Word 2007
Hi all,
Well, unfortunately, I wasn?t silly after all.  Anyone know how to convert a
table to text in Word 2007?  It?s apparently not the same as in Word 2003.
TIA,
Donna
