I do agree that book reviews on bookshare are probably
unnecessary, since, as you say, they are available
elsewhere. On the other hand, if a person is thinking
about downloading a book, and we aren't supposed to
put opinions in the synopses--which is o.k.--then
maybe a review would be useful. I only wrote mine
because the option was there and I felt like it. On
the other hand, since many of us write our opinions on
the list at the time we submit or upload a validated
book, book reviews really aren't necesssary--and I
don't think many people write them. If the option were
removed, nobody would miss them. Anywone wondering
about a book can ask for people's opinions on the
list.
