I don't see the purpose of having page numbers put in by Word, or any other program. If I'm reading a book, the only page numbers I care about are the ones in the book. If I'm using the book in a class, or even a reading group, I want to be able to refer to, say, the passage on page 210. Ken Cross used to have fits about Bookshare page numbers, and rightly so.
