[bksvol-discuss] Re: The ellipsis at end of sentence?

Hi Reggie,

The way I've always handled it if there are four periods instead of three at
the end of a sentence, is to leave one period right next to the last word, make
a space, and then have the three dots at the end of the line. If there is a
quotation mark after the ellipsis, there is no space between the ellipsis and
the quotation mark.

Hope this helps.

Sandi

Long time since I have asked a question, but need assistance. Thank you in
advance.

Finishing up a book that has ellipses throughout at end of sentences. Should
the ellepsis have a space before the 3 periods and a space after them and then
the end of sentence period or should the 4 periods be together. Should there be
a space between last word and ellipsis? Again, any help appreciated. Want to
get rid of this book so others can read.

I should have waited. I already bought it from amazon for 7.66, and sent
it to Sandy. I should have waited, and saved myself the money.

I can get it from another library in the county, but it won't be soon.
F.Y.I., it's listed as Snakewalk, one word, no hyphen. But it's the same
author, so it's probably the same book you're talking about. It's copyright
1989 and 279 pages. Do you want me to make a request for it, Lisa?

It looks cheap. Owning a book is meaningless to me, since I cannot

You could give me your address off list. I'm prepared to buy it so it can
enter the collection.

          Thanks

How new is the book? My library is not likely to have it, or to be
able to get it on loan, if it's very new. Perhaps I could buy it from Amazon?
Is it available there? Again, though, it will be more expensive than usual if
it's new.

If you buy it and send it to me, I'll send it back when it is
scanned. I'd love to read it, but I don't need to own it.

I don't! I wonder if someone can check it out at the library.
Or if not, I could buy the book, and ship it to you.

              Thanks

Do you have the book? I'd love to scan it--and read it, too!
I am a member of the Iowa Commission for the Blind, and we wouldn't exist
except for the work that was done in California before we did!

                  Hellos,

I have added this to the wishlist, but would anyone be
willing to scan the Snake Walk by Charles Wheeler? It is a book about the
Orientation Center for the Blind in Albany California where I work. I would
love to be the proof reader.

                  Thanks
                  Lisa
