Evan, your email sparked my interest, so I did a bit of experimenting. Windoweyes says question, so I pasted the email into a word document, and the speech still reads the character as a question mark. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what that proves, but that's it.

♦ Thanks. There it is at the top of my message. I followed your instructions. Did it come out okay? If so, I cannot know because my JAWS still says question and gives the ASCII value of 63 for it. If it did come out okay, then it would appear to be a JAWS issue; but if it didn't, then it must be Outlook Express.Evan----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob" <rwiley@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, November 01, 2007 9:09 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Special charactors♦If you are talking about the diamond character, you create it by turning numlocks on and pressing alt and the 4 key on your keypad.Bob----- Original Message ----- From: "Evan Reese" <mentat1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, November 01, 2007 10:48 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Special charactorsOkay, well maybe it wasn't my email program after all, since I am using JAWS 5 and maybe it didn't recognize the character and put the question mark in there to indicate that.Evan----- Original Message ----- From: "Julie & Miss Mercy" <mercy421@xxxxxxxxx>To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, November 01, 2007 2:21 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Special charactorsJAWS did read it, though.
