[bksvol-discuss] Re: Special charactors

Hmmm, my speech program, JAWS, says it's a question mark. ♦
It even claims that it's ASCII character 63, which is the one for the
question mark. I think that means that my Outlook Express didn't recognize
it, else I should have been able to get the correct numerical value for the
character even if the speech program didn't know what it was.

Hmmmm... I can see the diamond in the email message from bksvol-discuss,
so it's there all right, but I guess the Braille display and speech machines
ignored it. I have no clue what sequence of keys to hit to create the
diamond (or any of Jim's special characters). Maybe I can find an ASCII
chart that includes all those special characters. Will look around for such
a beast.

It didn't come through in my speech, but maybe I didn't know where to
look.

    Hi Carrie,

Your diamond didn't come through on my Braille display. <smile>

    Ah! I found a diamond: ♦
    One more for the collection.

    Thanks for doing this, Jim

Bob, I was afraid this might happen when pasteing the list to e-mail.

The first charactor should be bullet, the T, should be trade mark and
the
    question should be ural.

I'll try it again, but if it doesn't work I'll be glad to send the file
as
an attachment to anyone who requests it and sends me their e-mail and
the
    format they prefer.

    The paste looks okay here.
