Jamie,

One can put the isbn number into google and get
various sites that have the book; or in the Amazon.com
search space and get information about the book but
not the copyright info unless we can "look inside the
book;" or on the Library of Congress Catalog site
(http://catalog.loc.gov/) of which you reminded me. I
thought we used to be able to search the government
copyright site by ISBN number, too, but if so that's
no longer true--and the LC Catalog search site looks
like the gov. copyright site that I remember. I wonder
if they split them or something.

Also, some library search engines allow one to search
by ISBN number--at least one of mine does but the
other doesn't.

G.Cindy
