What kind of problems are you getting with the scan? OCR errors, I mean?

    Hi, all.

For the first time since I've had my opticbook 3600, it's giving me trouble
with a paperback book. I optimized several times, and these are the settings I
got. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest changes that could be made to improve
the scan. I'm getting very low competence levels, sometimes 94 and below.

Static thresholding is being used. Resolution is 300. Brightness is 42.
Speckle removal is disabled. Text quality is draft dot matrix, and recognition
engine is finereader 8.1.

If anyone has any ideas how to improve this, I would greatly appreciate it.
