nope, unfortunately and the guys at Kurzweil were a little surprised when i 
asked them why it did strip out the page numbers.

They were like, "What do you want those for."  smile.

I agree with G.'s message.  Presence or absence of info needs to be at the
discretion of the user.  The Kurzweil folks and open book folks can work
with bookshare so we all have good tools to create flexible good book
results.  Kurzweil did well in co-operating with bookshare folks' requests
for the optimize feature.

Is it true that there really is some way in k9 to strip out headers and
retain page numbers?
