Sounds like my Bible with the Apocrapha (spelling).

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Page Numbering Problem
Hi Evan,
I've had some books with variations on this that successfully went into the
collection. One of them had the page numbers repeat in one section the way
you're describing. In another one the publisher decided to renumber each of the
three sections of the book, restarting with page 1 each time. In that case the
book was numbered something like 1 to 138, then 1 to 122, then 1 to 146.
When this happened, the only thing that messed up on Bookshare's end was the
number of pages listed on the metadata page for the book. Bookshare's software
only counted towards the total page count the first instance it found of each
page number. So my books' metadata pages listed them as having less pages than
the actual number of pages in the book.
Your proofreader can correct that when they check the book back in for
approval. There's a field in the check-in page for the number of pages in the
book, and the proofreader can manually correct it at that point.
Make sure to write a note explaining all of this when you submit the book for
proofreading, and ask the proofreader to fix the page count in the note too.
You might want to also check that the quality of the book is listed as
"excellent" when you submit it, and if it isn't get it manually changed. Mine
showed up automatically as "excellent," even with this weird page numbering,
but I'd make sure.

Hello Guys,
For the first time, I’ve encountered a book where the page numbers are
messed up.
Everything is fine until page 15, then the numbers go down to 12 and go
back up normally again. So there are four pages with duplicate numbers, 12, 13,
14, 15. The Table of Contents is based on page numbers being accurate, i.e. the
next section after the number duplication is listed as being on page 19, which
is true, but it would be on page 23 if numbering were correct.
I don’t have any idea what Bookshare will do with a book with repeating
page numbers, but I doubt that it will be good. Any advice?
