I don't know if this will make any difference, but could you maybe copy them to
an external drive and then try to open them?

Did you try going down on your C drive to OpenBook's library and trying to
open the files that way?
I don't know if that will work, but if you can open the files, perhaps you
can save them in RTF format.

Hi, all.
I have several books that I've scanned that are trapped inside Open Book
7.02. I can not get the software to launch, and so, I can not convert the files
to .rtf, or even open them to edit them in their original format.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to solve this. I
really don't want to rescan all the books using kurzweil, as that would be
quite a pain. I'm wondering if I'm going to have to re-install open book. Any
help would be appreciated.
