Not sure about the different edition. I'll check. The edition I have has
nothing much before or after. I would think that the hardback would have less.

I wouldn't worry about it. The discrepancy is probably just due to
front matter, and extra text, if any, at the end of the book; or, is
it a different edition or printing?
