I really don't think that replacing em-dashes with double dashes is
detrimental to Daisy readers as sighted people say that the difference is
negligible, which certainly isn't the case when em-dashes are translated
into single hyphens in brf files. Even my synth hates em-dashes, and deals
with double dashes better. And once the em-dashes get trashed in the brf
file, there's nothing the reader can do to get them back into proper em-dash
configuration.
