Sometimes the card needs to be reformatted. After that it works fine. -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Kim Friedman Sent: Wednesday, July 21, 2010 8:46 AM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; bardtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; 'Victor Reader Stream' Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Has this happened to you? Need advice Hi, to some of you this might be off topic but I think I need advice. Here's the situation. I have two 2GB SD cards and I'll go to Bookshare.org and download files, extract them, open them, cut them to the clipboard and paste them into the relevant folders on my SD cards. A couple of days ago, I didn't have a problem. Yesterday, it was a different story. When I selected the file, cut it to the clipboard and attempted to paste it where it was to go, I get an error message saying there was an "error copying (name of file). The disk is right-protected. Please remove the right-protection or use another disk." Here's the rub, my cards are switched to the unprotected position and the computer didn't see they were unprotected. The files can be read all right. I just can't place new stuff on them. Regards, Kim Friedman who is perplexed, to say the least. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5297 (20100721) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
