Shelley, thanks for posting this. I have a foster son who lives in Wales. Through him I became aware of the lack of accessible books in Europe. I would dare to say that most of us know at least one person who is in this same situation. I feel sort of guilty and very frustrated that I can't just buy a Bookshare membership for my foster son, especially since he's in college right now and could really use it. Expanding Bookshare sounds so simple, but international laws and lawyers make it so hard. (sigh) And the needs of disabled people aren't typically high up on the agenda of things to resolve for our government and theirs.
