Hi Mary,

You should always disable "split long pages." If you don't do this, when you
are proofreading rtf files many, many extraneous pages that are blank and
unnecessary page breaks will be added to the book. Always leave "split long
pages" disabled.

Mayrie

Hi, Evan and Dave. Yes, I was merging the pages correctly to get rid of the
breaks, but they came back every time. Disabling split pages did the trick
though, and I just now got my book accepted. I assume that leaving that
disabled setting is the way to go, or is it better to enable that setting
until I run into a problem? Thanks to both of
you for your response. Mary
