Hmmm. This doesn't sound familiar. I'll see what I can find out  by checking
amazon.com.  or googlingI  think perhaps each book had a different author

Cindy,  Pam Hoffard and I did a series called Adventures Down Under by Robert
Elmer. I don't know if this is what you were referring to. There were 8 books
in this series. Basically is about a man who is framed for a crime where he
works and sent to a penal colony in Australia. His family followed after him
and the family moved up and down a river on a paddlewheel boat.  They are great
books, even if it is not what you are looking for.  – Doug  From: Cindy

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Australian historical fiction Several years ago there
were, on the Wish List (or was it the Being-scanned list) a series of
historical fiction about the settling of Australia. I'm not sure the books were
readily available in the U.S. Does anyone remember anything about them? I
didn't see anything in the collection that looked familiar. If anyone can find
them andd scan them I'm sure a lot of us, myself defin itely included, would
like to proof them.
