April 9 is Winston Churchill day so I have requested this book from the library to scan: *Winston Churchill* Ashworth, Leon. School Library Journal Review Gr 5-8-This is a "cradle to grave," objective portrayal of the statesman's life and accomplishments. While the author is clearly impressed with his subject, he touches not only on the prime minister's wartime leadership, but also on his shortcomings and postwar decline. The book is well organized, with a time line of important events on each spread, and with the text divided into short, easily understood sections. A "Places to Visit" box appears at the end of the book. The excellent illustrations include full-color and duotone photographs that could tell a story on their own.-Robyn Ryan Vandenbroek, Elgin Court Public School, St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada Copyright 2002 Cahners Business Information. -- Jamie in Michigan Currently Reading: The Great Arizona Orphan Abduction by Linda Gordon Earn cash for answering trivia questions every 3 hours: http://instantcashsweepstakes.com/invitations/ref_link/49497 See everything I've read this year at: www.michiganrxtech.com/books.html
