My book uses both mum and mither -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Kim Friedman Sent: Sunday, July 25, 2010 12:56 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: A misspelled word Hi, I think Mum is perfectly all right as it's what one would say in Britain. Of course in Scotland one might call a mother Mam, mammie, minnie, mither, and the like, but what really stumps me was that lulu of a scano, "rernern" I think it was. There's no such word as "remem", so I thought that was unlikely. Quite a poser, I'd say, wouldn't you? Regards, Kim. _____ From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of robert tweedy Sent: Monday, July 19, 2010 6:24 AM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: A misspelled word I think Mum would work but mom will work too. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5293 (20100719) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5293 (20100719) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5311 (20100725) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5311 (20100725) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com
