I would not be surprised if that word was underlined with a pencil or pen making it unscannable. My guess is that the word is remind, but it is only a guess.

I have the following sentences:

Mum, Father, Grisie, and Miss Norrie did not stay very long. But they said
Martha might stay until the Davis children went home, if she promised to
mind her manners and rernern her who she was.



The questionable word is "rernern". Any idea what it might be? Page 44 from
"Down to the Bonny Glen". If someone needs the image to the page, let me
know.
